Thanks as always for AMAZING content Adam! My question… If we are hosting our online course video content (Learndash) with Amazon S3, what is the best solution to get our video content distributed all over the globe so that the videos load super fast when users try to access them on our site? Thanks so much!
Hey Adam! 👋🏻 I discovered your channel less than five hours ago and it feels like I have a geeky friend who is super awesome and loves to help me with the world’s best tips, tricks and guides. *I salute your honesty and integrity* Subscribed here; unsub’d everywhere else. May the Lord bless you! 🙏🏻😇
I did learn something: how affordable BunnyCDN is. Gonna give it a try.
It is better to enable Memcached and Redis for Apache server as well right?
Thanks very much great job your doing there I really appreciate, hope to see more videos like this.
I started to learn Linux Sysadmin Skills in my freetime back in 2015. One of the best Hobbies I’ve obtained so far.
I can rent a matchin 20-40$ VServer and configure it myself for the best performance. I suggest everybody to learn some Linux CLI (Command Line Interface) Skills, this will save you a couple of bucks and also gets you a better unterstanding about technology in a Server enivorment.
Litespeed hosting or litespeed servers. I think there is a slight difference between the two.
So much great content here. I came across your channel looking for info on Learndash (excellent vid by the way) I’ve now subscribed and am working my way through a treasure trove of information. Thanks 🙂
Hey Adam. Thanks for the insights your videos have been helpful for none techies like me. I want to take out CDN for my website but i only want to use in south africa only. Will it speed up my site since the hosting is already in south africa.
thanks mate. very helpful and honest
Great tips! I use a2hosting. Followed the suggestions and with only the “redis” saw a huge speed increase immediately. Thanks!
such a great video! subbed awhile ago. question for you, or anyone. i have a dedicated server through bluehost and am spending $150 a month!!!! it’s a fast server and i’m using it for a mini youtube type site, so it streams video and gets traffic. do you recommend a VPS for this? i’m looking to save money? was thinking of going with A2 hosting again and using digital ocean spaces for metered traffic for the videos. what do you guys think? On CDN, bunnycdn is great but it won’t work if you have a website made with code/php scripts. you need wordpress for it to work or you need to hire a programmer, which i am not, so i can’t use it.
This all sounds fantabulous BUT – I have more than pennies of sound files that are in play on my site – plus the fact that I just (in the last few months) moved from iPage to HostGator for all three of my sites 😫
is not free do not lie, it costs pennies and pennies add up. Flat fee is better
Hey Adam! I am planning to buy name hero but the data center is in US and my location is in India and I am only concern with speed, do they provide data center in Asia or US is also good for me? how much loading time diff I can expect??
In case my a2 hosting php version option not tick “redis” and one more in “M” section “memcatch” and “memcatched” both are tick mark. So, what can I do please suggestion me ?
Why do you use CloudFare? I use it for DNS management for all my domains.
Do you know about SiteGround ? I can’t find the PHP options you’re talking about at siteground.
Also, I know another hosting service that told me to check “opcache” in order to be able to use Litespeed and it worked. Some thoughts about that ?
I switched to Cloudways and its MEGA fast – my clients only need the most basic option ($10 per month) – the dashboard is so easy to use and everything always works – got that suggestion from you – much, much thanks!
@WPCrafter.com WordPress For Non-Techies You’re Genius Adam! Quick one mate, I contacted A2Hosting support and they say the server side caching benefits of lightspeed tech are only available on their pricier ‘Turbo Boost’ package (not their entry level ‘startup’ or ‘drive’ packages). Is this case that you found? They also confirmed that their shared hosting doesn’t support REDIS and only thier unmanaged VPS does) I’m planning to switch host next weekend so would love your opinion on this finding? Thanks
Soooo how is hostgator crap????
I love your tutorials, but man, on your right, it is an Apple 🙂
Great video. The truth behind the “speed” of those hosting companies. Can you share more thought on Redis vs Fastcgi cache? I just switched to a server on Nginx which is way faster than Apache stack I was on.
I did think about using the LS configuration, but the popularity and the development are still low relatively, so may switch to it a few years later.
GreenGeeks has LSCache. I have been using them for years, and happy with the service. Their prices are also lower.
Hi Adam… I’m a bit confused… I purchased the Buddy boss theme and in your tutorial for that you recommended Siteground because it is managed hosting but I’m also tempted to go for A2 hosting because it has lightspeed technology…
Would you still recommend Siteground for Buddyboss over A2?
A quick yes or no would be much appreciated…
Thank you!
