Site5, version 5.0 :-/
Hello,
I am running a WooCommerce site, I recently updated the WordPress, Woocommerce, and WooCommerce database. and after the update, the product search function is not working in the admin dashboard. Is there any solution to this?
Do you have Instagram?
Can you do this for IIS on a windows server? I upgrade it through the WebPI, but them my site won’t load. Do I switch something in the IIS mmc snap-in?
No Select PHP version under my cPanel ?!? What to do, another way to “fix” this ?
Can we have a tutorial showing how to fix php compatibility issues?
It didn’t go well for me. I upgraded from native 5.6 after that I tried to load my web page but it has a big error so I had to downgraded it to keep my site working as normal. so what can i do to upgrade safely?
inmotion hosting php 7.2
Thanks a lot for this video. I still need your help sir….I have updated my php version to 7.3 and yet after few days I receive warning to update php version on my dashboard. So most time I will have to go to manager files on my cPanel to delete my handler for some of my plugins to work again…please help. Thank you
Hi WPCrafter I tried to follow this but before changing a PHP version from drop down menu in Cpanel I thought to make a backup of my site in case I need it. I tried returned to my wordpress dashboard on a new tab but it showed that site is in maintenance. and after a while is started showing error “There has been a critical error on your website.
Learn more about debugging in WordPress.” what should I do? (I did not event change the php version)
Hi when I type in php in the search bar I don’t see the “select php version”
what about hostgator
I am on Neostrada. A Dutch provider. All my webites were (deafault) on version 7.0. Thanks for the good video Adam!
Thank you! I was able to easily follow along in my Bluehost Cpanel and found the spot to update. I thought it was going to require coding- so glad I subscribe to you so I get notified of extremely helpful videos such as this one.
If i update the version to 7.3 or above then, website get down and show some wordpress files errors.
Cloudways, WP 7.3, LearnDash just fine.
I’m using Hostgator. On my Cpanel I wasn’t shown the “PHP Version” icon you described when I typed in php in the search bar. I went instead to MultiPHP manager and chose to Apply the updated version. It seemed to work I think?
I have recently dealt with with the “PHP Update Required” notice. However, in my case, the solution was not as simple as going into cPanel and updating my PHP version. I did that and, after doing it, the front end of the website for which I am an administrator loaded just fine. However, trying to go to the administrative dashboard generated an error message. Researching the message, I found a site that recommended a solution of disabling all plugins and the enabling them one by one until you find the plugin causing problems. When I tried to enable the slideshow plugin bundled with the theme (not a WordPress theme), WordPress wouldn’t allow it. After enabling all the plugins except for the slideshow plugin, I was able to access the dashboard again.
Is there any way to upgrade php of plugin as one of my plugin support 5.6 but now support stop for that plugin and i am totally reliable on that plugin so how to upgrade it on php7.x please help if you have any way sir
Yea, my host was at 7.1, can be updated to 7.4, Great video Adam! Thanks.
Hi Adam,
Can you suggest a WordPress plugin that will enable and allow users to a comparison of products on my website? The comparison will be done by blog readers and not the blog owner- I have seen this on competitors’ website but don’t know how it is done
Please help
Cheers
THANK YOU! Been trying to work this out! Happy days!
Thanks, Adam! Of five websites, I had updated one to 7.4 recently, mistakenly thinking that as the primary domain, all would be updated. I had one at 7.2 and three at 7.0. I believe the 7.0 sites were updated by A2 Hosting. I have a managed reseller account.
Thank you so much for this video. I am the very definition of a non-techie, but thanks to you I was able to change my version from 7.0 to 7.2 using cPanel. It was so easy! Thanks again. 🙂
Hello, thank you for the tutorial. My Siteground looks different (no site tools area just the CPanel) Think I’ve upgraded correctly. Thank you for your informative tutorials, you’ve helped me immensely.
